Purdue University College of Technology

Established in 1964, the Purdue University College of Technology began with a strong vision to provide excellent application-oriented degree programs as a key component to Purdue’s land grant mission.

Over the past four decades, the school has enjoyed a rich history of positive evolutionary change.  Many of the programs in the school began as associate degree programs and over the years have evolved into baccalaureate degrees.  This evolution has continued to include master’s and doctoral degrees.

The school’s early faculty pioneers were well-educated engineers and technologists backed with many years of practical work experience.  Their pedagogically sound curricula have become the bedrock of what the school is today.  As degree programs have become more complex and sophisticated, so have the faculty.  Today, the school’s faculty is comprised of exemplary teachers, accomplished scholars and professional leaders.

Strong industrial ties and close interdisciplinary partnerships between the school’s departments have also built a strong foundation for the school’s work today while shaping the vision for tomorrow.

The collaboration between the College of Technology, Rest Assured®, the Wabash Center and ResCare is an example of how tomorrow’s vision is taking shape today.
